Welcome to Volume 6 of my Le Journal series. Last weekend, I was in Atlanta, GA, for a black-tie gala benefitting bulldog rescue, something near and dear to my heart. I posted my outfit on my Instagram stories, and the responses were overwhelming. So, I thought I would share the look here if you missed it. The thought process behind this look considered two factors: black tie plus comfort. I knew I would want to get down on the ground and pet and play with the rescue dogs.

This blouse is actually a bodysuit, so it stays perfectly tucked in while you’re moving around or dancing the night away. It is beyond comfortable and is under $40, making it a great purchase. I also love that it has some structure, and the collar stays up, which I prefer. My skirt was a bit of a splurge, but I have already worn it 3 times, so I have definitely gotten good use from this purchase. This version is similar and just under $50. I added a wide Valentino belt and a rhinestone kitten heel that was comfortable to stand in all night.

If you are someone who only prefers to wear natural materials, the Wolfe and Badger sweater will not disappoint. Wolfe and Badger is a premium brand that produces high-quality items meant to last. Another reason for me choosing the synthetic version is that I cannot wear wool. It is too itchy for me. I will suffer through the itch on very cold days, layering thermal tops underneath a sweater, but if the slightest fiber touches my neck, it is immediately irritated. I so wish I did not have such an aversion to wool, but I do.

The Weekly Find | Rue or Runway

My Rue (Street) or Runway series was a big hit last week, so I will share this each Friday in my New York Minute series moving forward. This week, I am sharing this cardigan sweater. I typically prefer to invest in natural materials when purchasing sweaters, knowing they will last. Having said that, the less expensive version of this cardigan is one I own and shared this week. It is buttery soft, which I love. And I don’t always want to splurge. I try to keep my wardrobe to about 15% of purchases like this.

Splurge or Save

If you are someone who only prefers to wear natural materials, the Wolfe and Badger sweater will not disappoint. Wolfe and Badger is a premium brand that produces high-quality items meant to last. Another reason for me choosing the synthetic version is that I cannot wear wool. It is too itchy for me. New York Minute – Weekend Sales to Check Out

As you know, I’m always scouring for hidden gems, saving you time and effort. With many end-of-season sales underway, it’s an ideal moment to invest in timeless staples for next year while enjoying significant savings. These are my top picks:

  • One of my favorite places to shop for classic or French-inspired clothing is Kule. Although they can be a bit more of a splurge, their end-of-season sale just hit. I love this cardigan, this button-down that I own and adore, and this striped tee, which is perfect for colder weather.
  • Talbot’s has a huge sale on cardigans, all $59 currently.
  • These Mother Denim jeans are currently half off.
  • Madewell just added a ton of new items to their sale. These wide-leg trousers have great drape and structure.
  • J. Crew is offering 30% off your entire purchase this weekend. It’s always a great place to stock up on staples.
  • And if a little pop of color is your thing, check out Boden’s end-of-season sale.

Weekly Top Five

These were the most loved items this week by followers, and everything is under $100 at time of posting.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
